Computing

We aim to equip all students with essential digital literacy, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Through hands-on programming, algorithms, and understanding technology's role in society, students will build a foundation for future learning, fostering creativity, collaboration, and resilience in an increasingly digital world.

During KS3, all students have one lesson of computing per week, where they will learn how to use a variety of different software packages, as well as learning about staying safe online and the use of AI.

For students picking Computer Science at KS4 they follow the OCR qualification. The specification can be found here. This will be formally examined at the end of Year 11 through two exam papers.
