Here at Woodbrook Vale we are planning for an adapted transition process following government guidance. We are eager to meet our new year 7 pupils and although the induction days and evenings have been sadly cancelled, we will be planning a new transition process for the year 6 pupils.
As well as receiving your welcome packs which include information on ordering school uniform and school processes, we are working on transition materials that you can access via this page to help achieve rewards when you join us and to emotionally and visually guide you through the Woodbrook way.
Below, we have an outstanding transition booklet which includes images of the school and tasks which can be completed to help aid your transition to us at Woodbrook.
The two attachments below detail tutor information and school methods for further guidance which would have previously been provided on our induction evening.
We also have a fantastic character curriculum at Woodbrook called the Futures Award which the new year 7 shall begin in October 2020. The objective of this award is for all students to achieve accreditation in personal development, it is progressive and students will continue this as they move through the school.
There will be opportunities to complete some activities in Personal Development lessons. Other activities will require students to participate in the wider life of the school or be able to evidence something that they have completed or achieved outside of school
There are two tasks below which you can start now to begin you on the Futures Award journey. There is also further guidance on what to include in each tasks.
Please check this page for any further updates and we look forward to welcoming you at Woodbrook Vale as soon as possible.
